Anarkali suits make a comeback!

Vintage fashion has been on the cards off late and the Bollywood stars seem to be taking full advantage of it. While there has been a evolution of various bright colour – moving from subtle shades to bolder hues; this season, the ladies seem to carry forward fashion rules from the yesteryears.

Flowy Anarkali suits are back with a bang! From red carpet dresses to sangeet ceremonies, Anarkali suits rule the show. They come in rich colours with heavy sequin work and frock-type cuts, adding grace and style. The suits have also become longer in length, almost hiding the churidaar. In fact, this trend is such a rage that it has become difficult to spot the normal salwar suit.

The Anarkali flatters most body types because of its a-line cut. It gives the slim a shape, and hides flaws beautifully, giving an overall elegant look. The suit can be worn as a completely ethnic attire, teamed with heavy jewellery and stilettos or can also be donned with less formality without the stole- an Indianised version of the western gown.

From youngsters in the industry like Parineeti Chopra & Deepika Padukone to the veteran actresses like Sridevi & Madhuri, the Bollywood women seem to be in love with this floor-sweeping Indian gown, but who wore it best? Take a look!
