Job Role: Assoc Software Engineer

Job Summary :

This is a junior level position responsible for development for the team responsible for the Symantec enterprise anti-spam solution on a 24x7 mission critical system that has a 99.9% uptime availability. Work as an individual contributor on various development projects supporting the engineering, product management and operations teams

Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or equivalent working experience required.

Specific Skills/Subject Knowledge:

Experience in JAVA and Object Oriented Programming
Good understanding of MySQL, Oracle or other databases.
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms.

Success factors:

• Good fundamentals in CS
• Good analytical and quantitative skills
• Must have some coding experience (JAVA preferred)
• Familiar with linux and shell scripting
• DB knowledge preferred
• Good knowledge of web technologies
• Experience with some server class application a plus.
